North East Connector & Bike Paths

I am 80 and enjoy riding the new shared use trail being built in the beautiful Mullum Mullum Valley between Warrandyte Templestowe Road, Deep Creek and Ringwood.

The last section of path is being built right now, across Heads Road, behind Whitefriars College. When this section is complete we will have continuous off-road paths from Carrum via Eastlink, or Belgrave via the Ringwood line, or Croydon North via the Upper Mullum Mullum Creek, to Ringwood, then down Mullum Mullum Creek to Eltham and Diamond Creek, or to Templestowe and Melbourne. Ringwood has become the crossroads of off-road paths for the eastern suburbs.

I am writing to thank NELA for their planning of Options C and B. They will not wipe out the new Mullum Mullum Path as they will follow the HV power-line easement north of Beaseleys Nursery to an interchange with Reynolds Road near the junction of Tindals and Harris Gully Roads.  I hope that those who read my blog can also enjoy riding on the paths around Melbourne, many of which are built in conjunction with projects like this.
