Some welcome news from Maroondah and Monash Councils regarding major cycling facilities about to get started.
Maroondah Council will soon begin construction of a separated path along Bedford Road connecting to the Box Hill to Ringwood path at Ringwood station to the Belgrave rail trail intersection near Great Ryrie Street Ringwood. This will also provide an off road shared path from Ringwood to Ringwood East station and beyond. For further details and map, see Maroondah Council announcement.
Monash Council will be upgrading the Scotchmans Creek Trail in Chadstone and constructing the final missing link on the Waverley Rail Trail between Jordanville and Mount Waverley. Details available here.
