We have been advised by Shaun Leane MP (Eastern Metro) that the government has allocated $4M in the 2018-19 state budget to build the connection between the Eastlink Trail and the Dandenong Creek Trail in Vermont South. It includes a separate bridge for the path across Dandenong Creek on the South side of Burwood Highway.
This is a result of lobbying by MeBUG and the collection of over 470 signatures on a petition. More details to follow pending further advice from the MP’s office.
